Good Enough to Eat

We went to the Chicago Art Institute yesterday and I found this painting by Renoir. I'm starting to think about Provencal food now...

"Fruits of the Midi", 1818, oil on canvas, Pierre Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919)

Fascinating -- on my recent time off from work, I visited the Phillips Collection here in DC and saw Renoir's "Luncheon at the Boating Party" and was truly blown away.

Hi, we're art twins.

Hi, Art Twin! i must say, I do have a tendancy to gravitate toward the food paintings. And given that we'd been eating our heads off in Chicago, I don't think it had anything to do with hunger!
