On the Fly: What's for Dinner

The Child helped me plan this week's menu, as we were in the car on the way to the grocery store. Sometimes it happens like that. Then she left the notebook in which she'd recorded the menu in the shopping cart at Costco. So we had to recreate in on a napkin while we had burgers and malts. Fortunately, by that point, we had been to 2 out of 3 stores so it was pretty easy to remember what was left to purchase. Sometimes it happens like that.

Hope you enjoyed those 'picy chicken wraps while The Child was out.

Mmmm...beef ragu with polenta sounds quite exquisite. Polenta is the most hearty, belly-filling thing and I just love it!

Poor DH is being left with various frozen entrees for his lunch this week, as I suspect he'll be dining on hospital fare for supper most nights. If I showed him your menu for the week, he would probably cry at the injustice of being left with such paltry frozen ick.

I'm currently monitoring you menus in the event that I need to request something while I'm visiting. SO far I know that me and Child agree on lack of spicy things, because we are both frail and petite.

Oh, SCG, I don't think it will matter much this week, what with him being all obsessed with being a new papa!

I'll get the recipe up soon, Renee.

Note to self: no 'picy food for JP, my delicate flower.
